Blowfish partners with FAT bastard for an intimate 5-course pairing dinner. Each menu is crafted around the estate’s wines – thoughtful pairings, considered courses, and evenings worth clearing your calendar for.

About July’s Menu

The dishes on tonight’s menu have passport stamps from across the globe – Italian, Indian, Japanese, Asian – each one a familiar name pulled apart and put back together with a FAT bastard pairing in mind. Chicken wings that arrive as lollipops. A mulligatawny with smoke and depth. Salmon that’s been through a Japanese kitchen before it reaches your plate. A beef shin that’s been given the kind of low, slow miso treatment that makes the bone redundant. And a cheesecake that shows up in a Martini glass, because why wouldn’t it.

Every course has been built around what’s in the glass – not plated up and paired as an afterthought. That’s the brief our kitchen works to every month, and tonight’s menu is one of the most well-travelled results yet.

“Chicken Alfredo Lollipops” Inverted chicken wings stuffed with Parmesan and Parma ham, topped with a creamy Alfredo sauce
“Mulligatawny” Lightly curried cream soup with smoked chicken and apple
“Seared Salmon Sushi Salad” Seared salmon sushi rolls and sesame dressing atop a rustic garden salad
“Asian Braised Beef Shin” Miso-braised beef shin on the bone, with roasted broccoli florets and buttered potato puree
“Malt Cheesecake with Espresso” Fridge-set cheesecake served in a Martini glass, flavoured with malt, topped with espresso gelee, bitter chocolate shards and orange oil
  • Oysters & Sparkle 180

Six West Coast oysters and two glasses of sparkling wine,  a pairing as timeless as the ocean view. Unwind, connect, and let the evening sparkle.

Dive into a generous platter of the ocean’s finest featuring fish of the day, calamari, mussels and prawns, served with crisp chips, savoury rice and garden vegetables. Relax, take in the sunset and let the view do the rest.
